The snow emergency that started on Sunday, January 25, 2026, is now over. Vehicles can be moved back to the streets.

If you live in Ferndale and don’t have a driveway, you might qualify for a snow emergency parking permit. This permit lets you keep your car parked during a snow emergency. To see if you’re eligible and how to apply, visit https://ferndalemi.gov/resources/snow-emergencies.

Due to technical issues, the City’s old text alert system has been canceled. We are seeking a better replacement for the community that is more robust, helpful, and cost-efficient.
