Yard Waste Season

Yard waste begins the week of March 23, 2026, and runs through the week of December 14, 2026 (two weeks early this year!). Set your yard waste out in paper kraft bags or a labeled container (labels are available at City Hall or the DPW yard) at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular trash day.

Parks and Recreation
Celebrate the season with free goodie-egg hunts at three Ferndale parks! Find the right age group for your little ones, then let them loose to gather as many eggs as they can grab! Find the special egg with a golden ticket inside to win a prize-filled basket. Don’t miss the Easter Bunny—hopping in for an appearance at Martin Road Park!
