Safe Streets for All Open House

Session #2

Ferndale and several other local communities are working together to develop a Safety Action Plan, and your feedback is encouraged to help make this happen. What do you think would make Southeast Oakland County streets safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, and drivers? Drop in for an Open House about Safe Streets on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hazel Park Community Center, located at 620 W. Woodward Heights Blvd.

Harding Park

Grab those blankets and chairs and get ready for a free movie under the stars! Join Ferndale Parks and Recreation for Park It! Night on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Harding Park, located at 989 Mapledale in Ferndale, MI 48220. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. followed by food trucks, live music, kids activities, and giveaways. We're excited to invite you to a special community event - Chillin' with the Chief: Popsicles in the Park! Join us for a fun-filled evening where you can meet your Police Department's Chief, see a police car, enjoy some delicious popsicles, and connect with neighbors.

August 6, 2024, Primary Election

Go Vote!

The August Primary Election is on August 6, 2024. Voters will nominate candidates to represent the major political parties for the November General Election. This election does not include presidential candidates—the Presidential Primary Election was held in February.

City Hall Closed in Recognition of Labor Day

Ferndale City Hall

Ferndale City Hall is closed on Monday, September 2, 2024, in recognition of Labor Day. Garbage and recycling collection will be affected, so please place your containers out one day late for the remainder of the week. Parking is free in Downtown Ferndale.
