This past weekend, the Public Works Department teamed up with ReLeaf Michigan and the DTE Energy Foundation to plant 20 new trees at Martin Road Park!

These 20 trees included:

• 5 Swamp White Oak
• 4 American Hopornbeam
• 4 Kentucky Coffeetree
• 2 Wildfire Black Gum
• 5 Exclamation London Planetree

These trees will expand the park’s forestry canopy, provide shade along the path, and help mitigate drainage issues. DPW will also plant 75 more trees this fall through the Community Tree Planting Program.
