City Hosts 2nd Townhall Meeting, "After Headlee: Community Conversation Continued"

Ferndale's Interim City Manager and staff leaders invite you to a second townhall meeting to continue discussions about a path forward following the November 5 General Election.

This meeting follows City Council's first townhall on November 13, in which dozens of residents attended and shared their thoughts, concerns, and questions regarding the City’s Headlee Override General Operating Proposals—Proposals 1 and 2—which were voted down earlier last month.

The upcoming second townhall, this time to be hosted by Interim City Manager James Krizan and staff, will provide continued conversation about the City's funding needs and current Healdee override, which is set to expire in December of 2025. City leaders are seeking a path forward to maintain critical funding by drafting a new ballot proposal that residents will be able and willing to support.
