Construction Board of Appeals

The Board receives appeals from any person refused a building permit in the City of Ferndale and renders a decision with a statement of reasons not more than 30 days after submission of the appeal.

Members are appointed by the City Council. Members must be City residents qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to construction. The DPW Director serves as staff liaison. Preferred qualifications/areas of expertise include:

• Banking/finance
• Building construction
• Engineering
• Real estate/development/law
