Brownfield Redevelopment Authority
The Authority encourages development of environmentally contaminated properties by providing and overseeing financial incentives for cleanup and redevelopment efforts.
About the Authority
Members are appointed by the Mayor. Members are required to be City residents and must be qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to redevelopment. The Community and Economic Development Director and Finance Director serve as staff liaisons through virtue of office. Preferred qualifications/areas of expertise include:
- Commercial banking
- Chemical engineering
- Commercial real estate/development law
- Economic development
- Environmental engineering/consulting/law
- Property appraisal/assessing
