Join us for an afternoon of old-fashioned community fun as we come together to celebrate America’s 250th on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 p.m. at Martin Road Park, located at 1615 E. Lewiston Ave., Ferndale, MI 48220.

Pack a picnic lunch, bring a blanket or lawn chairs, and spend the afternoon enjoying the park with friends, neighbors, and our Ferndale community. We’ll have: FREE ice cream, three-legged races, tug of war, balloon toss, yard games, face painting, music…and plenty of community fun!

This free community event is presented by the City of Ferndale, in conjunction with Ferndale Parks & Recreation and the Ferndale Arts & Beautification Commission, in celebration of America’s 250th. All are welcome — invite your friends, family and neighbors and come spend the afternoon with us!
