City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day. If your garbage collection falls on the holiday, please set your garbage containers at the curb on the following workday. This also includes the remainder of the days of that week following the holiday.

If it’s spring, it time for the City of Ferndale’s annual Clean the Ferndale Up!, on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Sponsored by Ferndale Electric Co, Search Optics, Ferndale Community Foundation and Contractor's Clothing.

On this same day, the temporary "Drop-off Recycling Station’ will be located in the City Hall Parking Lot from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. for Ferndale residents and businesses only.

Ferndale City Council recently passed a resolution designating May as Bike Month to align with national efforts across the country and celebrate our nonmotorized-friendly city. We've planned a variety of bike-themed activities—from weekly group rides and classes to the annual Bike Rodeo and beyond—to get Ferndale into the cycling spirit.

The 99th Annual Ferndale Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 29, 2017 starting at 10:00 a.m. on Livernois at W. Maplehurst going east to Woodward Avenue, southbound to Nine Mile Rd west to Livernois ending at the Memorial Mall.

A memorial ceremony will take place immediately following the parade and includes a reading of the names of local veterans who have passed in the last year.

Bring your lawn chairs!! We encourage spectators to view the parade from the sidewalks along Woodward Avenue and West 9 Mile Rd.

The Planning Commission originally scheduled for Wednesday, December 21st has been moved to Wednesday, December 14th. The December 14th Planning Commission meeting will also be moved to Kulick Community Center due to City Hall construction.
