Data Analyst

The City of Ferndale is seeking a Data Analyst to work in the Department of Public Works. This position will be a key member of our team and will assist in the data extraction, analysis, and development of recommendations for the department in the areas of budget, fleet management, payroll, job costing, etc.  The Data Analyst will be responsible for departmental customer service and support, and will assist the Director and other staff with departmental needs.  Three to five years of experience in supervisory role is preferred.  Medium to high level analytical experience, exceptional customer service and the ability to work in a flexible team environment is required. Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Public Administration, Finance, or another related field is preferred. Seasonal Recreation Aide

Assist with all aspects of planning, organizing, and coordinating summer recreation program for youth, teens, and/or adults, including sports, special interest programs, special events, and camps. Schedule: April-October, 25-30hrs/week, evenings and weekend hours included.

Summer Camp Assistant Director

The Assistant Summer Day Camp Director is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the development, planning and implementation of the summer day camp program for children ages 5-12. The Asst. Director is also responsible for training and day to day supervision of camp counselors; ensures that staff members comply with policies and procedures and uses disciplinary actions when necessary; ensures compliance with state license regulations; maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff members and participants; organizes and maintains daily paperwork, timecards and incidents and performs other duties as assigned.

Camp Counselors

Counselors are responsible for day to day supervision of campers; counselors demonstrate, instruct and lead camp activities on a daily basis including; crafts, games, sports, etc; counselors assist with daily set-up and clean-up; counselors use appropriate disciplinary techniques with participants and logs all accidents; counselors maintain a safe and secure environment for all participants and perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants must be 21 or older, possess a valid driver’s license, and a minimum of 8 weeks of experience working in a day camp or similar setting.  CPR and First Aid certification are required; applicants without CPR and First Aid certification will be provided training upon hire.
